SNES9X is an emulator for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. After installing the program on your Mac, you'll be able to play all sorts of games written for Super Nintendo. The game files are called ROMs, but for legal reasons they are not offered for download. However, you will need them to use this emulator, so you may want to start your search here. Remember that it's only legal to download the ROMs for cartridges you already own. This version adds two enhanced video modes that smooth out details in the SNES graphics, adds support for multiprocessor Macs, and fixes a long-standing bug that caused Super Mario Kart, Donkey Kong Country, and Metroid 3 to have incorrect graphics.
